1. Cardiac muscle
A muscle of the heart (which is basically a giant muscle), responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. As an involuntary muscle, its contractions are controlled by the autonomic nervous system rather than the individual.

2. Cardiac muscle
The type of muscle that is found in the walls of the heart. Cardiac muscle is striated but branched, unlike the straight-shaped striated skeletal muscle cells.
