1. Epistasis (epistatic)
The condition where one gene suppresses the expression of another gene (and therefore whatever phenotype it is responsible for), when the two genes are not alternate allele s of the same phenotype. The gene which does the suppressing is called the epistatic gene.

2. Epistasis
The masking of the effects of one gene by the action of another, example: widow's peak masked by the baldness gene.
