1. Ester
* A general term for any organic molecule produced by combining an acid with an alcohol . * A derivative of carboxylic acid ( acid with a carboxyl group -COOH) which has the general formula RCOOR, where the R's stand for the same or different aliphatic groups (alkyl groups), aromatic groups (aryl groups), or hydrogen ions.
