1. Glutathione
A small peptide with the chemical formula C10H17O6N3S which consists of three amino acid s linked together ( glutamate - cysteine - glycine ). It acts as a reducing agent in redox reaction s and helps newly-made protein s fold properly with crosslinks between cysteine residue s at different points in the chain. It also plays an important role in the oxidation of tissue.

2. Glutathione peroxidase
An enzyme that begins the oxidation of glutathione (a peptide important in a variety of tissue processes) by hydrogen peroxide.
