1. Hemadsorption (haemadsorption)
* The clumping together of red blood cell s to other cell s or particles, or to substrate s. * The sticking of red blood cells to cells which have been infected with certain types of hemagglutinating virus es. Similar to hemagglutination .

2. Hemadsorption test (haemadsorption test)
A clinical lab test which is used to detect the presence of hemagglutinating virus es (virus which causes hemadsorption ) based on whether red blood cell s will stick to cells from the infected tissue when a hemagglutinin is present.

3. Hemadsorption virus
An older term for certain influenza virus es. The two types are: * hemadsorption virus type I - mostly in children, symptoms include bronchitis and pneumonia. Now called "parainfluenza 3." * hemadsorption virus type 2 - is sometimes present in children who have a respiratory disease that includes high fever. Now called "parainfluenza 1."
