1. Incomplete penetrance
A state in which a group of individuals all have a particular genotype , but not all of them have the corresponding phenotype . Incomplete penetrance is most likely the result of environmental effects. For example, if all of the individuals have the gene s to be tall, but not all individuals are actually tall, then the shorter ones may have had bad nutrition.
