1. Indirect-end labeling
A lab technique used to show that a particular sequence of DNA is unique in the genome . A hybridization probe is constructed from the end of the unique DNA sequence; any DNA sequences which are able to hybridize to the probe should thus be the same, unique DNA sequence, and only the unique DNA sequence should hybridize to the probe.
