1. Neuron-specific enolase
This enzyme is detectable in the blood of patients with neuroblastoma , small cell lung cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, carcinoid tumors, pancreatic endocrine tumors, and melanoma . It is used as a tumor marker to assess the extent of the disease and to determine the patient's prognosis.
