1. Paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea
This is the shortness of breath which cardiac patients experience during sleeping time. It often wakes the patients up with a sensation of suffocation. It is a sign of left ventricular failure. If not treated in time, this condition can lead to cardiac arrest and death.
