1. TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation)
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is a form of physical therapy by delivering electrical impulses to the skin via electrodes attached to the skin. The effectiveness of TENS is influenced by the frequency, amplitude, pulse width, site, and treatment schedules. Some believe that application of TENS on acupuncture points increases its effectiveness.
