1. Thymidine triphosphate (TTP)
A molecule which consists of the nitrogenous base thymine linked to the sugar ribose and which has a chain of three phosphate group s attached to the ribose in a linear fashion. TTP is required for DNA and RNA synthesis since it is a direct precursor molecule.
