Forbes is a former settlement in Marin County, California.1 It was located on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad 7.5 miles (12 km) south-southeast of downtown Novato,2 at an elevation of 33 feet (10 m).1 Forbes still appeared on maps as of 1914.1
