Petro is a former settlement in Kern County, California.1 It was located on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad 7.25 miles (12 km) north of Wasco,2 at an elevation of 292 feet (89 m).1 Petro still appeared on maps as of 1947.1
